What We Offer

Grace Dermatology & Aesthetics is a culturally competent practice providing a personalized approach to your skin, hair, and nail concerns. Whether medical or cosmetic, our dermatological solutions promote overall health and enhance natural beauty.

Caring for people with skin of color is a large part of what we provide at Grace. As a woman of color, our founder, Vivian Parham, AGPCNP-BC knows first hand the importance of health equity, representation, and specialized care.

Our Approach

At Grace Dermatology & Aesthetics, our approach centers around a commitment to excellence and cultural consciousness. We understand that each patient has unique skin concerns, aesthetic goals, and requires personalized care. We provide innovative treatments that are specifically tailored to meet your needs.

What's Your Skin Type?

The Fitzpatrick scale measures the response of different skin types to ultraviolet (UV) light. The scale varies based on the amount of melanin pigment an individual has in their skin, which determines the skin’s color and the typical effects of tanning after exposure to UV light. People with paler skin will burn easily, poorly tan, and require more protection from UV rays. They are also more susceptible to common skin cancers. While still requiring UV protection, people with darker skin tones will burn less, tan more easily, and are more likely to develop post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) after injury.

ABOUT VIVIAN

Vivian Parham,
AGPCNP-BC

Vivian Parham, AGPCNP-BC is a board certified adult nurse practitioner. An alumnus of New York University and nationally credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), she has been prepared to provide the patient-centered care that defines her practice. Completing a rigorous Advanced Practice Fellowship under the tutelage of dermatologist and Top Doctor Jeremy Fenton, M.D.; Vivian has expertise managing skin, hair, and nail conditions. After practicing in Manhattan for several years, Vivian returned to Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2023 eager to serve the community she’s called home for over 30 years.

Ever concocting skincare products (mixing moisturizers) in her laboratory (bathroom) a passion bloomed in her early years. While learning to love her deeply melanated skin and textured hair in spaces they seemed always on display; Vivian resolved to help people of all skin types find their beauty.

Feeling especially called to provide an atmosphere that emboldens people of color to address their medical and cosmetic skin concerns confidently; Grace Dermatology & Aesthetics was born.

Vivian specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology for all skin types and is passionate about providing culturally sensitive care by improving access to dermatology specialists that reflect the diversity of our community.
